Who are we?
We connect innovation with real energy needs.
Our mission is to support the energy transition by connecting providers of modern energy storage technologies with their potential recipients — enterprises, municipalities, and local communities.
We act as an independent advisor and expert platform that, through technical, economic, and environmental analyses, helps select the most efficient and suitable solutions for end users.
We promote knowledge about energy storage technologies, create spaces for the exchange of experience between the scientific, industrial, and public sectors, and support the development of energy awareness in society.

Meet our team
Paweł Witkowski – Co-Founder of the GEST Institute
I am a director and entrepreneur with over thirty years of experience in building and managing companies operating in high-energy-demand sectors, overseeing complex logistics processes, and developing modern operational solutions for industry. My career evolved in parallel with the economic transformation of Central and Eastern Europe, giving me practical insight into how large organizations function in rapidly changing environments.
I led LODIMEX, the largest company introducing foreign temperature-controlled food brands to the Polish market. I was responsible for the company’s strategic transformation, the creation of dedicated subsidiaries, and the optimization of supply chains, enabling direct cooperation with Europe’s leading manufacturers and retail chains. Under my leadership, some of the region’s largest and most advanced cold-storage facilities were developed, giving me deep expertise in managing energy-intensive infrastructure and designing efficient operational models.
As co-founder of FFG and FFL, I helped build platforms connecting key Polish food producers with major buyers. Later, as founder of LCL and LODOM, I oversaw factory-level warehouse operations for dozens of producers and leading retail chains, including Aldi, Netto, and UK partners such as Asda and Tesco. During this period, we implemented intelligent, eutectic energy-management systems in storage and processing environments, significantly increasing operational efficiency and process stability.
I have built a strong network of relationships in the food production sector, which today enables the GEST Institute to effectively support industry in selecting and implementing energy-storage technologies. I graduated from a mechanical-energy technical school and completed master’s studies in computer science and cybernetics, allowing me to combine technical knowledge with practical management expertise.
At the GEST Institute, I am responsible for organizational development, strategic industrial partnerships, and the practical deployment of modern energy-storage technologies. I bring together extensive managerial experience with a passion for supporting the energy transition and building solutions that enhance efficiency, stability, and sustainability for enterprises.
Zbigniew Sobieralski – Co-Founder of the GEST Institute
I am a technology and digital-transformation leader with over thirty years of experience managing complex IT organizations, advisory projects, and operational programs across the industrial, financial, retail, and pharmaceutical sectors. Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of business and technology, designing solutions that improve efficiency, resilience, and scalability for international enterprises.
I have held leadership roles in global organizations such as IBM, Galderma, Pepco Group, and Qemetica. At Qemetica, I managed the entire IT function globally, developing the technology and operating strategy and implementing a transformation that introduced a decentralized structure, IT Business Partnering, and a “Run / Change the Business” model supporting the company’s international expansion. At Pepco Group, I was responsible for strategic IT service consolidation and optimization, while at Galderma I built the global SIAM service-management model and standardized governance across a regulated pharmaceutical environment.
The most extensive part of my career was spent at IBM, where I managed the largest outsourcing contracts in the CEE banking sector and led a service organization of more than 350 specialists across Poland and the Baltics. I was accountable for service stability, major infrastructure transformations, and mission-critical migration projects for leading banks — achievements recognized with the IBM European Quality Cup.
I hold certifications including PMP, ITIL4 Foundation, and SAFe 5 Agilist. My educational background includes economics and computer science studies at the University of Szczecin and Fachhochschule Dortmund, along with leadership programs at IBM Leadership Academy and London Business School.
At the GEST Institute, I am responsible for organizational development, technology architecture, and the implementation of innovative energy-storage solutions. I combine extensive managerial and advisory experience with a passion for modern energy technologies, supporting companies in building efficient, stable, and sustainable operational models.
